JWD joined the Service First Associate Scheme back in 2008. Following meticulous assessments of the operational facility and the careful analysis and auditing of the coating process, Akzo Nobel quality assessors approved the company to become one of their recommended coaters.
First established in 2006, Service First is a network of hand-picked quality approved industrial powder and wet paint coaters strategically located across the UK.
Service First Associates are sub contracted coaters who have been pre-approved by Akzo Nobel to apply their quality brand of Interpon Powder Coatings and Cromadex Wet Paint systems. Service First Associates serve a wide range of customer across all industry sectors all of whom demand a high quality performance finish.
In the matter of applying coatings for aluminium building product materials, performance is everything. The technical requirements are very unique to the climate conditions of the intended project, and it is the ability of JWD to call on years of product application knowledge in the field of aluminium powder coating, that ensures the right techniques during application are used.
Additionally, investments in JWD’s powder coatings facility have resulted in a powder coating facility that is world class, possessing state-of-the-art automated reciprocating spray booths, a computer controlled track-fed system that monitors and adjusts the pre coat bathing and curing times, and failsafe in-line quality control checks and measures.
It is the combination of technical advantage and assurance of reliability, consistency and stringent quality checks that sets JWD apart from any run of the mill powder coat applicators and is why JWD is one of only a select few to meet the high standards under Akzo Nobel's Service First Associate scheme.
